Overview:

Caucasus Auto Import, a prominent player in vehicle import and distribution across the region, partnered with DataStudio to fully modernize and centralize their financial reporting process. The goal was to replace their fragmented and heavily Excel-based reporting ecosystem with a robust, real-time business intelligence platform accessible to every department.

Before the collaboration, Caucasus Auto Import faced several pain points in their financial reporting workflow:

Over 80% of reports were maintained manually in Excel
20% were built using SSRS, which lacked flexibility and scalability
Reporting was distributed across multiple disconnected systems , making data consolidation slow and error-prone
Finance and operational teams needed deeper, interactive analytics but lacked the tools to explore their data in meaningful ways

Starting in February 2025, DataStudio worked closely with Caucasus Auto Import to build a comprehensive Power BI reporting platform , integrating three major data sources :

MySQL (internal systems)
SQL Server

Plus live exchange rate data from the National Bank of Georgia

Approximately 20 users across different departments now rely on the system daily.
