Client: Marussia Beverages Georgia
Industry: Beverage Distribution
Project Duration: March 28, 2025 – April 17, 2025
Service Provided: Power BI Sales and Debtors Reporting
Overview: Marussia Beverages Georgia, part of an international beverage distribution group, required a modern reporting system to centralize and enhance visibility over their sales, payments, and receivables. The goal was to equip their sales and finance teams with accurate, up-to-date insights to better understand performance and customer behavior.
Challenge
The company previously relied on fragmented and manually prepared Excel files to track key performance indicators across multiple dimensions — including products, sales reps, channels, and regions. This made it difficult to get a holistic, real-time view and slowed down decision-making.
Additionally, monthly debtor data was stored in separate Excel files by year and month, which limited the ability to track historical patterns or conduct consolidated analysis.
Solution
DataStudio developed a suite of Power BI dashboards focused on:
Sales performance by product, region, sales channel, and individual preseller
Payment trends and debtor tracking
A built-in VAT toggle, allowing users to view figures with or without 18% VAT, supporting flexible financial analysis
A fully automated consolidation process for receivables:
Monthly Excel files are placed in a shared folder, with a naming format (e.g., 012023, 022023)
The system combines and updates these files into a live debtor database, enabling dynamic receivables analysis
Result
The new system gave Marussia Beverages:
A single source of truth for all key sales and receivables metrics
A dramatic reduction in manual work thanks to the automated debtor data integration
Enhanced visibility into top-selling products, sales trends, and payment dynamics
The flexibility to analyze numbers from both commercial and financial standpoints (via VAT filtering)
The Power BI dashboards are now used across teams for ongoing performance monitoring and planning.
